Hello, just wondering if anyone remembers the old sweets called hazelnut creams?

Its my MIL's bday soon, and i know these used to be her fav, but they arn't made any more, so i want to make her some instead, or an ice cream that is similar in taste.

could anyone help me? if you know what im talking about i would really appreciate a description of what they looked and were made like.

thanks

Sorry I could not get the link to work. Would these be similar? I never heard of the original sweets

Ready in: 30-60 minutes ?
Difficulty: 3 (1=easiest :: hardest=5)
Serves/Makes: 32 pieces

Ingredients:
1 cup roasted & chopped hazelnuts
1 package semi-sweet chocolate chips (6 oz. size)
1/2 cup heavy cream -- whipped
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon rum flavour

Directions:

Melt chocolate in double boiler or small bowl over hot water. If chocolate should stiffen, stir in 1 to 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening until smooth. Whip cream, add sugar and flavoring. Fold in slightly cooled chocolate.

Chill until mixture is firm enough to form into balls, then roll in finely chopped hazelnuts. Chill until firm. Store in refrigerator.
