As the title says. I want it for dinner tonight, think i have pretty much all the stuff for it, but can't find a recipe i like. I remember someone posting a lovely one here a couple of months back so I am hoping that person posts, or else someone else posts a lovely one that inspires me.

Thank you.

It is going to be a boy. I know it. It is because of the name, you were meant to have a boy called the name of mine seeing as you love it so.

How wonderful! I hope you have a great pregnancy .

So, this Delia recipe...I have no madras powder, thought I had some kind of curry powder, other than the normal mild stuff, but I don't. I do have Madras curry paste. Could I use that instead do you think?

I use the Delia one too but use a spoonful of a nice curry paste instead and I use a tin of tomatoes instead of fresh and it is luverly even if I do say so myself

Pavlov · 02/05/2010 17:54

I use curry paste too and tinned tomatoes as I never have the right ingredients, it taste fine.

I did this www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/food_and_drink/recipes/article6989927. but like a pp used tinned (sieved) tomatoes and curry paste, plus substituted cumin powder and green lentils. It was good and popular, served with rice and some lassi.

suiz · 02/05/2010 18:52

sorry this

I tried the Delia one, it was very nice indeed. I did use a little artistic license, and used fresh ginger instead of horrible ground ginger, and tinned tomatoes instead of fresh. It was lovely!
