Title says it all really. I need a new microwave: any tips or recommendations?
DH bought the last one with a grill facility that I never used. I only need defrost/cook. I suppose you need to think about wattage, but anything else?.

Mine died as well so looking for what I want in my price range [impossible]. A metallic interior is the best type esp if you have people who use the wrong equipment in it, put tinfoil wrapped food into it and then explode food all over it, do not clean it and use it again burning the spilled food onto it. I am very tempted to ban Dp from using it but that would mean he would never cook dinner unless it was crispy pancakes or pizza.

And a dial type tends to last longer then the touch type esp as small hands like to press buttons but are also more basic, don't forget capacity, how big do you need it to be?
