Accidentally ordered a bag of these rather than normal onions, and just wondered if anyone has any ideas, apart from using them like proper onions.

TIA

Oooh, I made something with baby onions in it last week (and now have half a bag left over so will be taking note of ideas )

Will see if I can find the recipe...

Here it is.

When looking for it, I went to bbc.co.uk/food and typed in "baby onions" in the search box, It brought up loads of recipies with them in...

There is a Greek recipe which involves baby onions, usually with lamb but last year dp had it with rabbit. It might be called stifado or something like that, iirc.

Otherwise they are lovely in a veggie casserole, with leeks, carrots, celery, potatoes etc.

Or you could probably roast them with a bit of oil and balsamic vinegar - bet they would be yummy.

Thanks for these. Not sure I fancy the stew, I go off them and casseroles after the winter season as we eat them all the time then!

Might try roasting them though.
