Recommendations for food storage boxes please........

Not strictly food itself - but how to store it. I am having problems finding a good food storage box that is freezer-proof. I don't want anything too large - just enough to put for example one portion (adult size) of spag bol or cottage pie into. I tried some from Poundland and found that the lids did not stay on at all well and I was having to secure them with elastic bands - also, they went extremely brittle in the frezzer although they were labelled up as usable in the freezer.

I have since got some from Tesco but they are twice the size that I want and although I need only half fill them, they take up valuable freezer space in my small freezer and are also significantly more expensive. We used to get some wonderful boxes from our local Chinese take-away that were absolutely perfect (microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe) but he has moved over to foil cartons and I did actually ask him where he used to get the plastic ones and he said his supplier has ceased trading.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Lakeland do the best ones though are also to be found in supermarkets - the lock & lock ones. Fab.
