DD used to eat very well and a wide range of things. She got a load of viral infections one after the other and was sick from end of January til about 3 weeks ago. She stopping eating and sleeping at all well from then. She's not sick anymore but the eating issue is dragging on.
I'm not worried in that she's got lots of energy and is acting normally but she's waking up a lot at night and I have a sneaking suspicion they might be linked.
She'll eat her body weight in citrus fruit but it gives her really bad squits so we avoid them and peas/broccoli she usually eats quite well. Mini cheddars are the only reliable from of carbs that she'll eat. Really at the moment she lives on a pack of Mini cheddars, a satsuma, a few raisins and a spoonful of peas. I keep offering her all sorts of stuff but she rejects it all.
She still has about a pint of milk throughout the day btw.
Is this just a phase?
TIA

It does sound like a phase. I think if you are offering a good variety of foods and she is getting regular chances to eat, you are doing as much as you can. It may be that she is teething or her appetite is building up again slowly. Sometimes they can appear to exist on air!

I had this with DD at the same sort of age. I taught her she could dip her fingers into things to try them. Sounds a bit grim, but it did make her more adventurous (plus it's fun). She is now nearly 3 and doesn't do that anymore (she will now try a spoonful). The rule for us was she didn't have to eat/swallow it if she didn't like it, but 9 out of 10 times she looks surprised and says ' I like it!'. May be worth a go.

Thanks, I do give her stuff to throw around - mess isn't a problem as long as something's going downrange! I might make more use of dipping sauces though, good idea.
