I'd like a nice book on herbs - one that tells you how to grow/nutritional(& medicinal?)value/what goes well with what i.e. rosemary is great with lamb but what else is it good with? and which herbs are best for enhancing veg

Any good ones out there does all of the above and more?

I have this one.

There's at least a page dedicated to each herb. She tell you how to grow it and its medicinal and culinary uses. But it is more of a gardening book than a food book.

If you want medicinal then Grow Your Own Drugs is good.

I have Sophie Grigson's book on herbs here. It has a lot of detail about the history of herbs and old ideas about their use, as well as recipes, but not so much on gardening.

Ooooh Sophie's one looks good and if truth be told I'll probably not get round to doing much in the way of cultivating them myself!
