Nigellas choc cherry cup cakes confusion..do I use muffin papers

Hi I am making Nigella's chocolate cherry cupcakes (from Domestic Goddess book) and in the recipe it says to use muffin papers and says that the recipe makes 12 cupcakes. She refers to fairy cakes as cupcakes earlier in the book.

So do I use muffin cases or fairy cake cases?

Anyone made her recipe?

right made the batter so opting for fairy cake size cases...

tbh don't think it matters much, the only thing will be that fairy cakes cook marginally quicker being a bit smaller

thanks witch.

Can confirm that it is for muffin cases as made 12 fairy cakes with enough left over for 6 muffins. So I have a mix.

The batter is so gorgeous I've eaten loads of it already

here is the recipe if anyone is interested.
