Is 8 minutes long enough to cook chicken?

Just found this recipe but it doesn't seem to cook the chicken for very long at all.

i wouldnt eat a chicken breast cooked for just 8 mins either

maybe they mean (but dont say) 18 mins?

Whole chicken breast would need 25 to 30 mins I would have thought

Chicken breast cooks very quickly - 8 mins should do provided the oven has been preheated to stated temperature.
I grilled a breast this evening on a very hot griddle pan - took 6 mins - was very tender and succulent but definitely no signs of pinkness.
One caveat would be that sometimes you get massive breasts in which case I would probably butterfly them to reduce thickness.

I'd say that's a mistake, but in a preheated oven at 180C with a thin chicken breast it won't take very long.

Nappyaddict just cook it until it looks done to you. You could deffo fry or grill a chicken breast in that time.
