No question about it - pizza pizza pizza. It is the one thing that i can eat and eat without stopping as disgusting as that sounds. I have always been mad on pizza for as long as i can remember. I do prefer the thin italian style rather than the 6ft deep everything on it kind - but thats only a preference!!!!!
The local delivery place by mine does a garlic bread with cheese calzone styleeeee, mmmmmmmmm my dd and i call it the garli bread pasty......omg im hank marvin now!

def fancy some egg fried rice!

Ameriscot2005 · 27/07/2005 17:40

The only takeaway that we get regularly (Friday nights) is pizza - 3 large pizzas and a bottle of Coke for £19.99 from Tops (a London chain).

We occasionally get Chinese - a meal for 4 plus a couple of extra dishes, but it works out quite expensive.

As for Indian, we just get the Sainsbury's Indian Takeaways and stick it all in the oven or microwave.

fqueenzebra · 27/07/2005 17:44

Mini hijack... how much are you guys willing to spend on a take-away? It's hard to justify the cost of an Indian or Chinese when pizza or chips are so cheap....

MrsBubsDeVere · 27/07/2005 17:47

Indian

Chicken tikka masala (no onions) lemon rice, poppadums.

Italian

Ham & pineapple pizza

Chinese

Chicken chow mein (no onions) boiled rice & sweet & sour sauce.

SPARKLER1 · 27/07/2005 17:50

EVERYTHING!! As long as I don't have to cook anything will do me.

marthamoo · 27/07/2005 21:25

zebra, we usually spend about £18-£20, which is pretty extravagant, but when we pig we really pig - and we don't do it very often.

Having said that I currently loathe and detest my dh as he just had a Chinese takeaway for dinner (ds1 had a friend over for tea so I saved dh some pasta but he "didn't fancy it." Grrrrr.) I had a salad but begrudgingly. Hate WeightWatchers.

Jane63 · 27/07/2005 21:28

chicken palok
lamb methi
bombay aloo
mushroom bhajee
bhindi bhajee
pilau rice and nan bread

costs £20 we don't go to pubs so is good, about twice a month, tried the tesco ones but not as nice. Chinese sometimes but prefer Indian.

toothyboy · 27/07/2005 21:31

Our local Chinese does Pork Black Pepper Chow Mein - it's pork chow mein with loads of black pepper ground into it - beautiful!

I also like a chicken passanda and mushroom rice, though.

marthamoo · 27/07/2005 21:34

M&S Chinese ready meals are very good - as good as the real deal.

mandyc66 · 28/07/2005 08:41

Asds's take away curry etc are quite cheap,so its an alternative to an expensive take away. Also I often cook my own rice to keep cost down. Does that make me tight?
