Have made v bland leek/potato soup - ideas please?

Somebody stop me throwing everything in the kitchen cupboards at it like I usually do.

I have some fennel fronds from earlier, could chop up and bung in? Or just a load of cheese? Garam masala? Pesto? Hoummous?

Yes salt!

Garlic can be good but probable better added at the softening stage so it gets slightly fried.

Also thick ground black pepper and roasted almonds on top are lush...

When I say it's bland I really mean boring. Need to stop using the words interchangeably, esp about food.
Will freeze half of it first so keep up the ideas for when I thaw it out another day.

But tonight, Matthew, am going to go for chilli sauce seeing as fussy DD won't touch it anyway and the boys like spicy food. And a sprinkle of cheese on top. And a dollop of...
