i am thinking of having fruit kebabs with chocolate sauce dip for ds' birthday. but all the recipes i can find needs the sauce to be served warm and i will need to prepare it a few hours in advance to bring to the hall. does anyone have a recipe for chocolate sauce that can be made in advance?

thanks!

Hi Jazal,

I have used this with profiteroles warm but I feel confident it would be fine cool as I always make it in advance and reheat it and I've never noticed a reason, when I've come to reheat it, that it wouldn't be ok cool. (If that makes any sense)!

200g good-quality dark chocolate
142ml double cream
150ml full-fat milk
pinch ground cinnamon

Bring the cream, milk and cinnamon to the boil and pour over the chocolate to melt.

You might want to try it first though, I don't think I could take the responsibility of it not working!

You can reheat most chocolate sauces fine.
