I am excitedly waiting for my new Waffle Machine to come from Amazon. Anyone got a good recipe? Apparently the machine does not come with a recipe!

8 oz plain flour
2 oz butter
1 sachet yeast
1 pt milk
2 eggs
half tsp salt

Melt butter, warm milk to blood heat, add all ingredients together, cover and leave to froth 45 mins.

My waffle maker is an ancient 1950's space-age thing I inherited. I will be very sad when it finally dies.

Its very sad that I know the waffle recipe by heart!

Thank you. Can I mix all the ingredients in a food processor or should I do it by hand? And is a sachet of yeast the same as a teaspoon? (I have a packet of Doves yeast for my bread maker)

I don't have a mixer so do it by hand - you want an amalgous mix, however you do it.

1 sachet is about a tsp (I use a tsp!)

Hey, the waffles are great! And a much better recipe than the ones my Swedish friend gave me which either contain 100grams of butter or loads of cream!

Thanks waffully!
