The ready made ones?

Overpriced, PITA and (according to Panorama) filled with salt and sugar.

Little Dishes far more lovely. I can't leave DH to help DS eat them as he ends up scoffing half the meal cause they smell and taste so good!

CMOTdibbler · 09/04/2010 09:47

They are yuk. I bought one for DS one day when we were in a total rush and thought he might enjoy it. He ate one forkful, and pushed it away - and he eats anything. I tried some, and totally agreed with him.

GoldenSnitch · 09/04/2010 09:48

Yes, forgot to add - the one time I tried one, DS refused it and he eats pretty much anything too

moaningminniewhingesagain · 09/04/2010 09:52

Never bought one because she is so annoying That face.

moondog · 09/04/2010 10:41

It staggers me ,the hypocricy of all these people, celebrating real cooking, who then put their names to cook/chill or jarred crAP.

Whoamireally · 09/04/2010 12:38

Did you not see that programme a couple of months ago about AK ready meals - and how they had more salt and fat than some adult ready meals?

Lots of shouting on here about that....

GoldenSnitch · 09/04/2010 12:51

That was Panorama Whoamireally.

She also signed up to work with Nestle recently but there was such a backlash she ended her involvement - or so she says!

Bmum1 · 09/04/2010 21:58

Probably best to give them a miss then.

Try Little Dish. We have them for emergency/lazy/I want a take-out nights and they really do seem lovely

stillenacht · 09/04/2010 22:03

Oh....my lovely DS2(with ASD) loves them..he won't eat any other ready meals.(He is v fussy due to the ASD) They are expensive though.

Whoamireally · 11/04/2010 21:24

Little Dish are good - buy regularly but mainly only when reduced. Or Kiddylicious. They are all bloody expensive but I guess it serves us right for being lazy cows.

paddingtonbear1 · 11/04/2010 21:29

The only ones we ever buy are the teddy pizzas. We did try a pasta one once but dd didn't like it - and pasta is her fave food! I think they put reduced fat cheese in - why?! It tasted wierd.
We tried a Little Dish one, which was nice.

Skimummy · 11/04/2010 21:39

I admit to having some Miniscoff meals in the freezer for days when I get home from work/nursery and am a bit pressed for time (i.e. lazy)...my DD loves them!
