Freezer labels

When I started maternity leave I made loads of stuff, froze it in various containers and now we're eating the last of it. However despite most of the containers being see through, most of the stuff looks the same and I can't tell what half the stuff is because I don't know how to lable the containers without using a permanent marker which would spoil them. Although I keep a note of what is in the freezer in a notebook, usually when I think I've taken out bolognese I find its chilli or vice versa.

Does anyone know if there are any labels that can be put on plastic freezer containers which will stay on but also peel off again easily so that a new label can be put on when the container is used next time?

You can buy some in Lakeland, or order online if there's not one near you.

i just use a bit of paper and either sellotape it to the lid or tuck it under the lid a little bit so it folds over the top

buy cheap labels and stick them on clingfilm and then wrap the container in the clingfilm. Then you don't have to worry about getting off the old label when you reuse the container

Normal office type envelope labels. As long as you remove them before you wash the container they come off with no mess.
