Hummous

Marmite

Philadelphia

Plain old cheddar

Guacamole (or just mushed up avocado, maybe with a squeeze of lemon and grind of pepper if you can be bothered)

Mashed banana

grumpypants · 06/04/2010 18:51

oh yum. Butter and marmite and cheese. chocolate spread ; peanut butter

toucancancan · 06/04/2010 19:23

A lick of pesto and a slice of chicken

philadelphia and tomato

BertieBotts · 06/04/2010 19:31

Hummous is good - especially the nice flavoured ones you can get.

MathsMadMummy · 06/04/2010 19:34

philadelphia with a bit of sweet chilli sauce. YUM!!!

ooh and shove a load of rocket leaves on it.

drool

MathsMadMummy · 06/04/2010 19:36

I love cottage cheese too, with chives/spring onion, or thin slices of apple.

Granny23 · 06/04/2010 19:43

Or alternatively just give them the toppings and leave out the rice cakes. (You do know that rice cakes are simply small rounds of insulation material)

granny, does that mean there are 22 other grannies on here?

MathsMadMummy · 06/04/2010 19:46

awww don't be so mean about rice cakes! they aren't so bad! I eat them on their own sometimes!

MathsMadMummy · 06/04/2010 19:47

inspired by what I just had for dinner - feta cheese and avocado go very nicely.

martini82 · 06/04/2010 19:55

mmmmm i'm off to the shops in the morning!!! thx for the ideas!!!

just a thought what about sweet toppings.........

kimbows9 · 06/04/2010 20:01

Ooohh my favorite topping has to be peanut butter but extra light philadelphia and cucumber with black pepper is a more healthy choice.

MathsMadMummy · 06/04/2010 20:14

I don't really like sweet toppings on them so can't help there.
FWIW, if you fancy cheese with it, hard cheese isn't great on the health front, but Edam is a much lower fat alternative IIRC.

120 - No merely that I am Granny to three (grandchildren)

Shaz10 · 06/04/2010 22:16

I was thinking a mug. Or a cup.

Tomato purée, pepperoni and mature cheddar, slammed under the grill for 30 seconds. Mmm...
