Hi,

I want to make an oat and seed bar bit like a flapjack, but reduce the amount of butter and sugar/syrup

Ingredients I have which I was thinking of using are

Various seeds
Oats
Bran
Bananas
Sultanas
Dried cranberries
85% chocolate
splenda sugar (not sure about this, never used it before)
Brazils
Cashews
Honey

I'm sure I can get something out of this lot, just not sure about quantities really

Anyone have any good recipes?

well I used

3tbpns honey
4tbspns splenda
2oz butter
2oz plain choc
6oz oats
3oz sunflower seeds
3oz pumpkin seeds
3oz sultanas
3oz cranberries
1.5oz linseed
1.5oz poppy seeds
1.5oz flax seeds

This has kind of worked, but it is very crumbly and not staying together well. Yummy though. I think I will need more butter/honey/choc next time, but I wanted to avoid the fat and sugar if possible. I could try blitzing some dried apricots or dates I guess.....

Anyone else had success with this?
