how long is it safe to keep leftover roast chicken in the fridge for?

I'm thinking that 48hrs is ok but any longer is pushing my luck. Or would it be ok for up to 3 days? Bearing in mind it would probably be eaten cold in sandwiches.

Also, it is ok to freeze slices of the chicken to be defrosted and used in sandwiches at a later date?

Sainsburys delivered a huge 'feeds 4-6 people chicken' last week and there's only me and 2 pre-schoolers . We are 'chickened' out and I'm a recently lapsed veggie so I haven't a clue what to do with it all!

TIA.

Not sure about the freezing, but I would have thought it's ok as long as the chicken hasn't previously been frozen.

I regularly keep (and eat!) cooked chicken in the fridge for 48 hours plus, so I think that's fine.
