The only thing I can think to do with it is yuk sung but as I'm pregnant and greasy things are likely to give me heartburn I'm thinking I should give it a miss.
DP wont eat tomatoes (unless he doesnt know theyre there ) so things like meatballs are out of the question.
Any ideas???

pork and red pepper pasta?
It has passata in it but no chunks of tomatoes.

can you not make meatballs and a creamy sauce al la ikea instead of tomatoey?

Or whizz it up into sausage meat and make a sausage pie or meatloaf, failing that just burger it!

Pork burgers?

Add grated apple and onion, a handful of breadcrumbs, an egg, chopped sage/other herbs (optional). Mix then shape into burgers.

I cook mine in the oven on a baking tray. Kids love them as they are quite sweet. I've also managed to smuggle grated carrot and courgette into them depending on the veg we have in. Have also done these without the egg - they hold together as long as you oven cook them.

You could do meat balls and make a cheesy sauce or a simple sweet and sour sauce.

I made sausages by mixing the mince with tiny cubes of feta cheese. yum!

The pasta sounds nice OOT but its still tomatoes in a recognisable form. If he found out I used tomato puree in things he would slaughter me.... WHOOPS I do actually have Ikea cream sauce in the cupboard but I have Ikea frozen meatballs in the freezer so would be a bit pointless making them lol. I did think of a meatloaf but havnt a clue how to make them think i'll go and have a google. Tea time is always a struggle when he would much rather have turkey drummers and potato waffles every night just like his mum made him EVERY NIGHT. Our 2 year old will eat anything so I have less and less sympathy for him lately lol

Oooooh the burgers sound lovely knotty. I also like the hidden veg idea- Wonder if Anabell Karmell does a "how to hide" recipe book for a grown man...

Pork and apple meatloaf.

Mix pork mince, fried onions, apple (some grated, some chopped, to give texture), sage, and season well (I check seasoning by frying off a little bit of the mix to taste).

Line a loaf tin with streaky bacon rashers (optional, though I suppose you'd have to grease the tin, if you weren't using the bacon), and bake in an oven approx Gas Mark 6 for about 30-40 minutes.

I serve it with rice and either peas or sweetcorn, and you could add a blob of apple sauce. It is one of the few things that I make that all the children like.

Darn - I forgot to say that you could fry off the mix as burgers instead.

Stirfry the mince with petit pois/sweetcorn and serve with rice or noodles? My two adore it and I only add a DASH (teeny weeny) of soy to give it flavour..

I would do burgers or I have done a kind of shish-kabab thing before.
You mix the mince with chopped onion, chilli, herbs (i like corriander), and some curry powder, you can add salt if you like too. Then I mould the mixture around skewers and bake in a moderate oven. Really nice served with salad, rice and a yogurt and mint dressing.

I like that idea a lot livvy - I shall definitely be having a go at that next week! Yum!!
