What to do with not-good-enough-cake?

Made chocolate cake for DS2's birthday. First one didn't rise enough due to combination of wrong oven setting and not enough beating, so I made another, yum.

What shall I do with the first one? It's ok, just a bit heavy and dense, and a bit burned round the edges. Any ideas? I thought of chopping it up into some icecream for a dessert, maybe?

Would it freeze?

Oh if I wasn't on a diet I'd say bag it up in a jiffy and send it to me. I LOVE burnt cake

Yes - chop it into chunks then freeze - you can then add it to icecream sundaes topped with loads of choc sauce.... mmmm

i'd feed to the kids as pud with custard.

Chop it up, mix with some fruit, and smother in custard and chocolate sauce. Sprinkle with chocolate buttons. Yummy!!!

Eat it in secret in the middle of the night

Have frozen it in chunks - will serve on Easter Sunday with white chocolate icecream. Yum.

Thank you!
