My mum has really kindly offered to buy me one as a house warming present and I've never had one and so my cooking has evolved to not need one other than very occasionally. There are things I would love one for like making coleslaw for example but DH thinks it will just sit on the side and clutter up the place. Is he right??

MrsT I have the Magimix 5100, but it's 5 years old so the 5200 must be latest equivalent. It does have juicer attachment and the citrus press attachment. IMO the juicer attachment is superb, much more economical on money and worktop space than having a dedicated separate one. The drum that you have to clean is big and open so very simple to wash out plus all the juice goes into the big main bowl/jug part of the blender which is much more functional and practical than the juicers that have a spout that trickles messily into your glass. Plus, if you keep it on your worktop as it's so multi purpose you're much more likely to juice regularly than if you have separate juicer gathering dust in cupboard. Can you dedect my rampant enthusiasm at all?
Plus, very frequent use for five years I'd say it's still almost as good as new. Go for it.
