Have chicken breasts and fresh spaghetti,what shall I cook?

Need to pop to the shop shortly so can grab extra ingredients. I am lacking inspiration and none of my cookbooks seem to have anything I fancy....

Some kind of lovely creamy mushroomy tarragonny sauce to go with the chicken and pasta. With some nice garlic bread, a crisp green side salad and a bottle of wine.

Not so keen on tarragon, but the rest sounds lovely. Parsley instead, or fresh coriander?

Yup to parsley - that would work well too

Right I bought cream, butter, mushrooms, fresh parsley and a lemon. And a french stick. The wine is a given

My plan is now to poach the chicken and mushrooms in stock, then reduce the stock with a squeeze of lemon, then bung in cream and parsley at last minute. And hope for the best.
