My aunt said yesterday that it would be good for my 12mo DD to eat home made cake every day. (I sell my cakes so there is always homemade cake at my house). What do you think, ladies?

I'm not sure that you could call it 'good' for her and I probably wouldn't give my 12mo cake every day but she does enjoy a bit of cake from time to time.

DD (14 m) has apple crumble or fruit tart here and there- but that at least has fruits in it.
I don't think regular cakes are a good idea at all, as full of sugar and not much in the way of vitamines.

cake is a treat in our house.

we had cake every day as children and it took me years to realise I could eat a meal without something sweet to follow. Do her a favour, and keep it as an "every now and then" thing.
