Loaf tin dimensions

Have googled to no avail - what are the dimensions of a 2 kg loaf tin? I realised my loaf tin was much too small only after I had a ton of simnel cake mixture left over - am in a big sulk but hoping the result will be OK. Have not found a specific 2k tin even on Lakeland...

2kg = 4.4lb which, according to the Lakeland "loaf tin liners" is 2 tins 19 x 9 x 6.5cm H (or 15.5 x 9 x 8cm H.)

Perhaps they meant a square cake tin?

The picture was definitely of a loaf tin, and have just checked my own tin which is approx 19 x 9 cm on the inside. Surely that is going to be closer to a 2lb tin than a 1lb one?? Am confused, as I double-checked and the recipe specifies a 2k one. There was just SO MUCH left in the bowl! May have to go and consult the oracles in John Lewis...

Singing Bear - then that has to mean that BBC Good Food mag totally screwed up, which is unusual... I did think that a 2 k one sounds really enormous, but that maybe I am just not a 'proper' cake maker! It's a mystery. When my caterer cousin recovers from birth of her baby, will ask her!

A 2kg tin would be huge. A standard loaf in a shop is 1 kg. I recently bought the Lakeland tins that soupdragon described. I am sure they are 1 kg (2.2 lb) tin.

My breadmaker makes 1 kg loaves as well.
