Would you eat this pate??

On wednesday I opened a pack of smoked mackrel and it said 'once opened eat within 24 hours'.
Yesterday I made a smoked mackrel pate with it (cream cheese in it as well), but there is loads left.
Do you think it would be safe to eat? Its been in the fridge covered with cling film.

Just think the whole fish and cream cheese thing may be a bit dodgy

In my view, not a problem. If you have covered it and out it in the fridge it should be perfectly OK. The manufacturers/processors put that on to cover themselves. Ask yourself....If you were using homemade pate, would you be worrying?

Use your nose. If it smells OK, it probably is OK.
