Help with pasta sauce

DS loves pasta so I thought I'd make a batch of a tomato-based pasta sauce and freeze it. Plan being I can just add it to pasta and make a quick and tasty meal for him.

But, I only ever buy my pasta sauce so don't know how to make it - can anyone help?

I don't have a food processor but I do have a blender. I'd quite like to be able to hide veg in it too if that's possible?

All suggestions/recipes will be warmly received.

Thanks

garlic
onion
tin of plum tomatoes
herbs (oregano, basil)

just soften the g & o in olive oil, then simmer the tomatoes and break apart as they cook, add herbs.

You can add anything else at the suitable point, eg bacon or chillies at the start, olives or peas at the end etc

That's perfect - thank you.

I also grate carrot and/ or courgette into mine as it makes it a bit sweeter (and grating hides the veg)
