Funny things our kids eat!

Haven't seen this one yet but thought it could be amusing on a cold and rainy day!
My 18month old loves tea and coffee so sometimes I even let her have some in a toddler cup,tea that is, not coffee!! (bad mum alert?) My mum did the same with us too. She also eats olives and once she pinched raw onion off my plate. I let her take it thinking it would be funny when she pulled the 'yuck' face but she ate it all and came back for more .
What do your kids eat that shock you or make you giggle?

I used to eat dog biscuits, out of the dogs bowl. My kids seem to think that is wierd. Consequently whenever they suspect that something is iffy, especially when after its BB date, they give it to me to try it before they tuck in. That's nothing particularly strange I know.....THEY eat raw celery which I cannot believe, it is revolting stuff!

We all have different tastes, and if that is what your daughter wants, then great. At least she shouldn't be picky when she grows up. That said, I have gone off dog food as I have got older.

I used to eat hamster chocs and sometimes the dry hamster food...........

Dd1 eats nothing so has no peculiar tastes , dd2 prefers fluff off the floor to anything else!

It's quite normal for kids to like olives. And tea.

My 18-mo is going through a fussy phase at home (although eats everything at nursery...)
Left to himself he would eat solely porridge, breadsticks, and seedy bagels, with maybe the odd banana. All the other foods he used to love he hasn't eaten for a couple months, even though I keep offering them. Except when I was having leftover Indian for lunch.

Saag paneer and prawn rogan josh - both very spicy - were delicious, apparently.

Yesterday he refused to eat anything except stale bread. Lots. At least he can't talk yet and tell people that 'all I ate at home yesterday was stale bread'!

My daughter ate a live snail once. Hopefully never again...

DD also likes to chew her shoes, especially if she's been outside in them and they're all dirty! She also loves to suck on baby wipes
Nephew will take chunks of dog food out of my dad's dog's bowl if we're not careful too.

My dd1 "ate a beetle" - and there was grit around her mouth, so I suspect she told the truth.
