Gingerbread people HELP!

Hi there - I want to make gingerbread men/ Easter shaped biscuits but can't seem to master a recipe. In the past I've used a Rachel Allen, a Delia and one from Surestart and I can't seem to make them without faffing about terribly - the dough is either sticky or oily or cracks or breaks - totally hellish! I'm a reasonably competent baker/cook so can't figure out where I'm going wrong. Can anyone help?

Morrisons sell Gingerbread Men kits that actually make really good gingerbread men - they even include a cutter. I checke dteh ingredients and there is nothing nasty in them. You just add butter (and possibly milk, can't remember)
I did teh Morrison ones having bought all the ingredients to do "real" ones. The Morrison ones were slightly softer and dough not too sticky. The "real" ones teh dough was extremely sticky - I ended up adding more flour and sticking teh dough in teh fridge for a bit to make it easier to work. The resulting biscuits were fine - but much harder than the Morrison ones!

THink it was this recipe - although I think I added more ginger.

No Morrisons in Northern Ireland Has anyone got a good "real" one that isn't sticky? Although haggisaggis you have reassured me that the dough with the "real" one is tricky!
Anyone?

I use the one on the BBC'big cook, little cook' page they annoy the crap out of me but a good recipe. here you need to click on sweet recipes and move right to find the gingerbread people.

this is the recipe I use.

I'm not sure what you mean if the dough gets sticky? It is just like any other dough - nicer raw than cooked imo
