I surpassed myself tonight. First time ever I shaved a sponge cake!

Was feeling a bit spooked so wanted to do something homely so baked a sponge. But I forgot to take it out So it was a little overdone. Refusing to waste all that sugar, eggs and butter, I waited till it cooled and then had a go at it with a cheese grater till it was the right colour.

Is that a MN first?

Well I had to shave the sides as they were a bit too dark as well.
