Talk to me about mini choppers

I have just bought one of those Kenwood mini choppers for chopping baby food. I know Delia loves them but I don't have her cheat book and I don't want to end up wasting this miracle gadget on onions.

What do you use your chopper for? What do you recommend I throw in it?

OK, this morning, I used my chopper to

puree fresh tomatoes to have on toast for breakfast

whizzed up crumble mixture for rhubarb crumble for lunch

chopped up hard (nearly had it) chorizo into little pieces for training my dog

made a small batch of hummous -chucked in oil, garlic, lemon, cooked chick peas ,tahini and a little water and salt.

I love it and use it and my hand blender all the time.

I'd be interested in other ideas too....

I make spice pastes (use my coffee grinder for grinding spices too)
Pesto
Hummous
Chopping onions/chillies
Finely chopping mushrooms for spag bol (DD hates them)

Um, that's all I can think of for mow, but it was worth it for me just for onions as I hate chopping them.

I have had my Kenwood mini chopper for years and use it loads.

I use to blitz onions, carrots, celery etc for bolognaise, smooth tomato sauce, make mayo (not very often), puree avocado and chop coriander seeds for guacamole...

Ooh great ideas!

Love the thought of blitzing a crumble for lunch. Also hiding finely chopped mushrooms in dishes.

I eat loads of pesto, hummus and guacamole so these are perfect suggestions for me.
