DH and I are having jacket potato for dinner. I am trying to lose weight and he is running to get fit so any toppings that will help with that would be fantastic, thank you.

Cottage cheese - mix with some peas & carrots

Themasterandmargaritas · 16/03/2010 16:53

At lunchtime we scooped out the pots, mixed it with sour cream, chives, spring onion, squidge of lemon juice and some of Norway's finest smoked salmon, then popped it all back in. Yum.

Dear god - that sounds crazy!

Themasterandmargaritas · 16/03/2010 16:56

Admittedly it was for a lunch party, not your everyday shove it in the oven fare.

FabIsDoingPrettyWell · 16/03/2010 16:58

They sound lovely but so far no suggestions if things I actually have in.

I was going to say Cheese and Baked Beans but that sounds a bit common after the smoked salmon concoction

passionberry · 16/03/2010 17:00

Cottage cheese with pinapple

Tuna, sweetcorn and low fat mayo

With nice salad

Good old baked beans are low in fat.

Sorry, these are all quite boring!

ComplimentaryUpgrade · 16/03/2010 17:02

Sorry TheMaster - cross posting - I was refering to the number with peas and carrots!

ComplimentaryUpgrade · 16/03/2010 17:03

The salmon concoction sounds alright!

PlumBumMum · 16/03/2010 17:04

cheese scallions & bacon although maybe not that healthy

Themasterandmargaritas · 16/03/2010 17:05

Suddenly I wondered if I was incredibly posh or something.

StainedGlass · 16/03/2010 17:05

itsmeitsmeolord · 16/03/2010 17:10

Roosters ones are humumngous. They are always sold out in our crappy tesco though.

MamaG · 16/03/2010 17:11

StainedGlass · 16/03/2010 17:12

Must look out for them .

which might explain why i am humumngous

Themasterandmargaritas · 16/03/2010 17:12

Hmmm let's see, about the size of a juicy canteloupe.

Want to pop over? I'm even offering the smoked salmon concoction remains from lunchtime.

passionberry · 16/03/2010 17:12

Yummy! this thread is making me hungry!

Just thought - roasted veg is quite healthy -with lots of nice seasoning and olive oil. Maybe with some goats cheese depending on how healthy you're being!

Themasterandmargaritas · 16/03/2010 17:13

Why does cottage cheese and pineapple work? It's always a mystery to me.
