Chocolate trifle

When making a chocolate trifle, would you put the chocolate custard on top of the chocolate mousse, or vice-versa?

I've got chocolate cake, jammed and sherried (possibly slightly over-sherried ) ready and waiting...

That sounds yummy. I'd put the custard on the top if it were me.

Delia does a nice choc trifle recipe that I've made a few times, but uses mascapone iirc. Yours sounds v v good.
