I bought some of those long and pointy red peppers yesterday (do they have a name?) and not sure what to do with them - I thought maybe a pasta dish with chicken type thing? Please inspire me for tonight's dinner!

They are so sweet, I don't use them in cooking. I just chop them up and the dc eat them as they are.

Nice with some dips

I use them with chicken fajitas

I think you can stuff them with things - couscous, roasted courgettes, feta cheese, and bake?

SquigletPie · 16/03/2010 19:45

Definitely yummy if stuffed and baked but try not to use ingredients which are too 'wet' as it leaks out.

ruddynorah · 16/03/2010 19:50

did you get them in lidl? i got some too. asked the chap filling up the box of them what they were like..

'peppers' he said

pixierara · 16/03/2010 19:51

grill them then add goats cheese at the end....simple but lovely!

Thanks for the replies I ended up putting one in an omelette and one in a caesar salad. They were good but think I will definitely try to actually cook something next time! I like buying them as they look a bit exotic!

Ruddy - got them in Morrisons - Lidl prob cheaper! We do have a Lidl but not really shopped there properly, probably because I have to drive past Morrisons to get to it. Your 'peppers' comment reminded me that every time I buy butternut squash the person on the checkout either asks me what they are or what I'm going to do with them!
