Breadcrumbs

Is there a simple way to make breadcrumbs if you don't have a food processor? Really want to try a couple of recipes but can't as I don't have any. I tried buying them with my sainsburys shop but they came with added paprika
Have considered the tray under the toaster but would rather an alternative...

you can grate stale bread but it takes a while - depends how much you want.

Or you can bake thin slices in the oven at a very low heat until they are hard, then crumble them up. This works better with some types of bread than others.

Or if you have a soup-whizzer thingy they work too - you just have to do small quantities of quite stale bread.

Ditto Youngvisitor, but then run them through a sieve.

Wrap the dried out bread in a tea-towel and bash with a rolling pin.
