how do I make sweetened cream for inside buns?

I want it to be like that really scrummy awful stuff you get in iced fingers from the bakers.

Is it just double/whipping cream and icing sugar?

Whip cream, add icing sugar to taste. Maybe a drop of vanilla extract if you like it.

Don't add the sugar till the cream is whipped
