Left over chicken.....will this be ok to keep?

I had some left over chicken from yesterday (sun) and have made a pie with it. There is alot of the pie left over now. So can I keep it in fridge till tomorrow or should I not risk it?
By the way the chicken was bought off the hot counter on Sunday (don't know if this will make any difference?)

yup, it will be absolutely fine...i usually go with 4 days max, which would take you to wednesday at the latest. (i cook professionally btw, so im not just pulling this out of the air )

just remember to heat it up really well if you want to eat it hot.

Thank you! I was thinking it would be, but dh wasn't so sure.
My next question was going to be will it be ok to re-heat, but you have also answered that one. But how does that work, because I thought that you should only re-heat once and I have already done that in the pie?

hmmm....sorry didnt quite think that bit through, so maybe best if you have it cold with a nice bit of salad

I think it's a matter of personal choice, but I would think that if you nuked it a second time it'd be OK.

I often buy a couple of rotisserie chickens and whilst I use the breast meat and the scraps for sandwiches/ soup, I always freeze the thigh meat (which has already been cooked) and save it for next time I make a curry or stir fry. If I make a curry, the leftovers will sometimes get frozen again I always make sure my food is piping hot. No-one has got ill - yet
