Will coconut milk whip?

I want to make 'tropical meringues' this weekend (meringjues with passionfruit, kiwi, pineapple etc topping) and I thought it would be nice if instead of ordinary whipped cream I could make it taste coconutty somehow.

If I put in some cocnut milk with the cream to be whipped, will it whip up do you think? or could I/should I use something else?

TIA

you could use coconut essence if you can find it. I really don't think coconut milk will whip.

I don't know for sure - but I doubt it. Perhaps you could grate some coconut cream (the stuff you can make up into coconut milk instead of buying cans) into the cream, or add some dessicated coconut after whipping?

I'd go for Malibu or coconut milk powder instead
