5 minute chocolate mug cake

Anyone seen this recipe group on facebook and made it? DH just gone down to shops now to get cocoa and icecream .

Any tips? I think the flour should be Self-raising to get it to rise. Will report back how my attempt goes .

I've made this a few times now and it's always good but I can't help a certain ickyness over the oil in a cake thing. I might try melted butter next time...

Forgot to report back as promised! It was ok but dry. Wouldn't have finished it without the icecream.

Made it again tonight but in a shorter mug (the mug I used before was very tall and meant the cake kept rising then falling back in on itself, which contributed to its dryness I think) and cooked for 3 mins in our 800w oven rather than 5 min. Added sultanas and it was good! No icecream this time so dashed over full fat milk. Was getting a strong sugar craving hence whipping this together, and now I feel sick

Oh good lord. I'm supposed to be on a diet! You lot are pure evil!!

oh my god! i have been searching all evening the kitchen cuboards in the hope that some thing will appear in them that i can scoff. so gave up, look on here and as usual mn to the rescue!!!
