Cupcakes!

Child's birthday parties on Saturday and Sunday - when should I make me cupcakes?

Is tomorrow (Thursday) too soon? Will the buttercream icing all go floppy or something?
I am anxious I've got so much to do and want to get it all done ASAP (ruddy exam on Monday too!! Argh!)

Yes tomorrow is a bit too soon .
Make them on Friday.
Ice them on Saturday morning

Thanks Jasper - will stop staring at the ingredients in the kitchen and do something more dull but useful instead

Lol it is nothing to be impressed by. I am going through a bit of a high period so am doing daft things like icing cakes at midnight as I can't sleep.

Or, make cupcakes in advance and bung them in the freezer. Pull out the morning of the party, you can even ice them frozen and they'll be fresh and defrosted by the party.
