If i have forgotton to take it out the freezer in time to defrost is there anything i can do to help it along its way?

how long does it take to de-frost? I think it is only an hour or so isnt it? maybe start rolling it a bit sooner than that to help it along?

I did this earlier, I needed it for around 2ish so I put it in the micro-wave on its lowest setting (on ours its 10) and gave it 2 minutes, still solid so I repeated maybe another couple of times.

Its worked for me.

Like Earthmother, I have microwave defrosted it in an emergency. The very edges dried out, and I had to chop them off, but it was fine apart from that.
