cooking with the class!

I'm cooking once a term with 25 boys aged 9-10. We've got basic equipment but not much space, so I need some interesting recipes that don't require lots of saucepans and utensils, which can preferably be made in one pot or foil trays. Any ideas gratefully received!

rocky road

the chocolate cake that you put inthe fridge

they could make it and take it home and put in the fridge to harden off.

chocolate, buscuit, sometimes marshmellows, butter, cherrys, cling film to line the tray.

boys seem to love dough, so:

  • bread
  • pizza

or soup (chunky sort maybe with chickpeas/similar?)

flapjacks - add dried/fresh berries dependent on season
cheesecake - bake or no bake

omelettes and pancakes are good/fun to learn to make too.

If you make pizza dough and then cut inot strips and spread pesto and grated cheese olives ham etc on then roll the strips up to make pin wheels.

Or make small pizza's and give them a selection of chopped up filling to go onto.
