Would you use eggs today that had a use by date of the 10th Feb?

I have 6 and really don't want to throw them out if I don't have to!

Yes. There is nothing sinister that happens to eggs that you can't tell - if they're bad, you'll smell it! They're just not at their best when they're older, but fine to eat.

you can use them as long as when you break them open they don't smell. Eggs can last months if kept in the right temperature.

break them into a small glass first and check each one as you go. We've got eggs that are almost a month old and are fine.

Drop in deep bowl of water - if they float they're off and need to be thrown away. If they sink they're fresh. According to this month's Red magazine anyway...
