What would you do with it?

Something exciting?

Please share!

i would get a collection of herbs ( fresh ) and mix them together with butter and chopped up bacon, then i would put this carefully under the chicken skin.

then i would stuff the neck with lemons

serve with roasted parsnips and carrots covered in rosemary

Chicken with 40 cloves of garlic, though that probably isn't very exciting.

This Pot Roast Chicken is lovely - add some chopped up chorizo too

Umm, put an open (full) beer can up its jacksie and put it on a BBQ?

I wouldn't really, but I've seen it done...

Silkflowersanne · 17/02/2010 14:11

I like to cut it into portions or buy portions. I lay in a roasting tray and drissle a little olive oil over, then squeeze the juice of a lemon all over, and slice another lemon thinly and place all over chicken. Season to taste. Place in fridge covered in cling film overnight. Cook in overed covered in foil and remove foil for last 15 mins of cooking time so it goes golden. try it!!

MrsBadger · 17/02/2010 14:32

Personally I would roast it, butI am lazy and love the leftovers.

you can do beer-can-up-the-jacksie in the oven too - it's very good indeed

EssenceOfJack · 17/02/2010 15:00

Well I would kill it first.
You lot are sadistic!

But then I woud bung it in the slow cooker with some lemons and thyme along with carrots and onions underneath and use the stock to make soup afterwards.
