Egg free batter recipe..help!!

I want to make spam fritters, but not use egg in the batter. Can anyone suggest a recipe? I can use dairy, flour etc. can't find a suitable recipe anywhere!

try a tempura batter, it might work. r

1 tbsp cornflour
pinch salt
7fl oz ice-cold sparkling mineral water
