Chicken Soup

I know its the simplist thing in the world but i have never made soup - please give me a simple step by step, thankyou x

and can i do it in a slow cooker?

HERE is a good basic recipe especially if you have cooked chicken. This wouldn't take long so not sure about the slow cooker.
