Iv a load of pears i need to use up and im having family over for lunch tomorrow any nice desert recipes would be great, thanks very much xxx

Chocolate pear pudding would be my choice, made with poached pears instead of tinned.

nigella has a nice choc pear sponge on her website
can be made with tinned pears too and is lovely with choc sauce or choc custard

This is one of my favourites here It has an almondy filling a bit like a bakewell.

Or just gently poached in spiced sweetened red wine is lovely too.

Pears, good quality vanilla ice cream and homemade chocolate sauce.

Pears with a berry compote, then a mixture of greek yoghurt and cream smothered over and finished off with demerara sugar that will caramelise while you leave it in the fridge to become nice and cool for eating.
