chocolate fingerellas, could I make them?

You know those french cakes in packets at the supermarket. Are they a kind of madeleine? Anyone got some sort of similar recipe.

There's a madeleine recipe in Domestic Goddess I think ( off out now so can't check ) I made it once, bought the flippin tin and everything. Took an age and they were nice but, well, not nice enough to warrant all the extra work imo. I guess you could follow the madeleine recipe but I might be tempted to shortcut it with a madeira cake type thing with some reserved mixed with cocoa and then swirled in. Guess you'd need a special tin to bake in tho.

Yes thats an idea. I fancy the tin though. Have always heard that madeleines were hard work.

Got my tin at Lakeland. The one I did is in Domestic Goddess can post if you like but it is a faff.
