I am making my first ever pie

It's beef with swede, potatoes and onions. I am following a recipe so hopefully will be ok.......
it's in the oven now. I'm a bit nervous!

You can't go wrong with pies really. Home-made ones always taste 10x better than shop-bought and no-one minds if they don't look perfectly symmetrical or if there's some gravy leaking out of the top. Have faith!!! Good luck

Is it a proper one with pastry?
I've only ever made potato topped pies. I'm far too lazy to do pastry!

Sounds lovely! I am not allowing myself pies at the moment so will slaver over other people's instead.

It's pastry, but ready rolled
My recipe didn't say anything about gravy hope it'll be ok.
Smells nice, will be ready in about 20 mins.
We're having squashed roasties with it (charlotte potatoes boiled until soft, squashed, seasoned with thyme an roasted), peas and carrot battons.
