Why do choc chips sink to the bottom?

Choc chip cakes are one thing i just don't get quite right, the chips always sink to the bottom and stick to the paper case?

Why and what canI do aboiut it?

scrap them off the case with your teeth? That's what I would do

Toss them in plain flour first before adding them to the mix. The flour acts like a glue and they stick to the cake mix when it's cooking and stops them from sinking never failed me yet!
