Hi there all you wonderful mums out there!! I am the proud mum of twins Levi & Eliza who are nearly 8 months old. We have been weaning since about 5 1/2 months and are doing well. Trying to find out as a guide how much food they should be having. they still have roughly around 500 - 800 ml of milk spaced with their meals through the day. However, dd has on several occasions recently thrown everything up and I am at a loss as to why. Wondering if eating too much. They eat 2 or 3 desertspoons of breakfast porridge made and between 3 - 4 ice cubes of homemade pureed veg and meat/fish or pureed fruit for dinner and tea. they are both the most contented babies ever so think i am just worrying over nothing but your feeding routines would be a great help!!

Thanks

Lisa

I reduced my DS's (7 months) food intake as it started becoming a battle of wills. He now has 1 Weetibix for breakfast, 3 cubes of veg/chix casserole, 1 cube of fruit and 1 fromage frais for lunch and dinner.

It seems to have worked only the last couple of nights he has thrown up his last bottle of the day.

You seem to be doing about the same as me but I'll be watching your thread too.

Sorry this isn't much help.

we have done baby led weaning with my 10 month old and she has some days when she eats lots and some when she eats less but when you look over the week its pretty well balanced.
my belief is she will eat as much as she needs!
today she had raisin mini wheats and a banana for breakfast, soup and bread and an orange for lunch, a biscuit and some raisins as a snack in the afternoon, and spinach and ricotta cannelloni and mango and a yoghurt for tea. sounds loads when i put it like that!
she also still has a breastfeed morning and evening.

I agree with debka. Baby led babies will tell you how much they want to eat, and there are no battles with either. I read this book which gave me the know how and confidence to do it.
